Hola amigos!
It's me, Chumlee Coconut once again here ready to tell you more about me. You already know that I'm a good runner, but did you know that I love toys? Did you know that I have a toddler sister? She turned three not too long ago. She's allowed to have small toys that say "not for children under 3 years old" in the label. Did I mention that I love toys? For some strange reason, my sister's toys disappeared and mom took us shopping for more toys for her - at the pet supermarket!
If I can't play with toddler toys, toddler shouldn't play with dog toys!

Slippery pug

Hola amigos!
It's been a lovely summer for us, and I have a lot of pictures and stories to share - so many, I don't even know where to start.
So today, I started with the very last picture on my mother's camera. That's me, a handsome young pug. I am learning spanish, and am fluent in English. I like to run. Mom chases me because I like to run with objects that shouldn't be in my mouth, or because it's time for her to leave the house, she's late, and I won't come into the house.
Did I mention that I'm so soft I'm slippery?

Hola amigos!
This here is Chumlee Coconut, saying hello for the first time.
I've been spending a few weeks with my family, first as a foster, and as an adopted pug since last week. Let me tell you, I love it here. There was nothing wrong with Tennessee, where I was born and spent my first year of life. But down here it sure is fun. There's a three year old girl, whom I've been told is my sister (although she doesn't have a curly tail) known in the blog world as Coquita, whose toys are surely fun to chew. I love it when she points at me mad because I took one for a minute. Only a minute! Why? because mommy's hands are more fun to chew!
Let me tell you more about me. I am about 18 months old and I started my first job yesterday at a small office.
Today, I'm also doing a side job of therapy. It seems like mommy misses Angel Coco too much, but much more today because he would have turned 8 years old. We send happy birthday wishes and smooches up to heaven.
On a happy side, this blog turns 5 years old today. FIVE WHOLE YEARS!!!

Hello friends,
Angel Coco here to give the latest news. About two weeks ago, my family picked up a pug in need of a foster home. This pug came highly recommended by his original rescuer, and by our local rescue - he is very friendly indeed, and awesome with the kid!
He is learning spanish at home, and will soon start writing in this blog. Mom signed the adoption papers today, and although she spent days trying to choose a name with daddy, our sister is set with calling him Coco. So that's what he will be.
I am pleased to introduce Chumlee Coconut LocoLoco, "Coco", to everyone!

Chicho phone home

Hello friends,

Chicho here writing to say hello and goodbye.

I enjoyed the time I spent with my family,

only I decided that I would not stay. 

You see, I didn't like dad right away.

But mom was bright enough to send me to doggy daycare.

Later on, a trainer had to step in

As I begun to growl and snap

to an unsuspecting child.

Mom and dad argued for a while

trying to guess if I was going to be nice.

I was nice, just not all the time!

This kid only wanted to play, pet and kiss me

 but I would only tolerate it for a little.

It was hard to ask the kid not to play or touch me

and she would not console after I would snap at her.

"Chicho is bad. I want a dog like Coco", was heard each and everyday.

I am staying with my foster dad now.

He confirmed that I have trust issues centered around men and children.

He said that it may be because I am a Pug Pekingese.

He said that it is best for the dog to not be around children, when these issues arise.

He said mom had made the right decision letting me go.

That doesn't help mom feel any better, as I was adopted and supposed to stay in my forever home.

But I had other plans!

I enjoyed being around all of you.

P.S. There's a foster pug in my former family's home now. I'm sure he'll blog soon.

Big Brother

Hello friends,
Coco here to say hi and thank you for the warm welcome to the new member of the family.
Chicho is still getting used to the hot weather and the dynamics of a family of two and a small kid.
My sister Coquita is thrilled to have a dog, but it is taking some effort on my mother's side to teach her that not all dogs are the way I was.  You see, I was like a teddy bear for her. She was able to play with me, and hug and kiss me and I was O.K. with it all.


Chicho's personality is the opposite! He likes to play bitey bite and likes to follow little hands as a target and that confused everyone at first. He also gets startled at sudden movements, after all, he has eyes! It has been an adjustment for everyone - but things have improved greatly. Even daddy is now showing some love, after being mad for the longest time because Chicho was not as sweet and as mellow as I used to be! Of course, their new dog was going to come with his very own personality. Silly family!

Pretty soon Chicho will share more of what he's been up to. For now, all I want to ask is that you all keep my family in your thoughts. I am sure that with time, Chicho will learn to love and protect my little sister the way I did. That's what mom and dad wish the most!

Blending in

Hello all,
Thank you for the warm welcome. It has been a rough first few days at home, as we learn about each other. I am adjusting with my new family and my new sister is learning how living with a dog with eyes, with energy, playful and sometimes grouchy is. I have to admit that I get less and less grouchy by the day, and attending school has helped me big time. Yeah, I'm a student now! And I am now a bilingual dog! I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and some spanglish just for fun. I'll be back soon, I promise. We've had fun adventures already!

Last Tuesday

I, Chicho Noodles Manchitas, arrived to my forever home one week ago. I have been adopted to fulfill the need of a furry child in my new home, and I will take that responsibility with honor and loyalty. There is so much to say about my dubious past as there is about the last seven days of my life. I promise to be back, soon.

Hello,
Angel Coco here, writing a short note to Thank you all for your comforting words and prayers. Mom picked up the ashes yesterday, and even though I can't be kissed or petted anymore, I live in the hearts of my family and friends, and I am looking after them the way they did for me when I needed care and attention and kisses and hugs.
These pictures were taken only a few days before I departed. I was being tucked into bed. My bed is empty now, but I am working hard trying to get my family a new furry member to help heal their hearts.
I will introduce him as soon as he gets home, as right now he is taking an intense course in English Composition and Grammar.
