Not Working, Really

Boss,
I wanted to explain the reason why I didn't show up to work today. I was asked to work in our backyard, planting grass and a couple of palm trees.



I got ready with all the tools and appropiate attire.





But then got tired for just being outside. It was a hot day!



I apologize for any inconviences this may have caused to the company or my backyard.

Pay it Forward

Hello pugs, cats, cute little animals and people!

Look what the mailman (or woman, I don't really know since they don't come to the door) brought for me on Saturday!

At first I was suspicious that it was a package for mom and not for me. I wanted to stay in the kitchen "requesting" someone to please open the fridge, but mom kept calling me.

The package was from aunty Rachel! And all items on it were for me!

There was a recipe of puggy cookies, signed and approved by Clemmie and Winston themselves!

There was an apron for mom to use while she prepares the puggy cookies for me.

Look at the cute detail in the apron! It matches with our home colors!

And just to make sure mom gets it right, she sent some cookies in a cookie jar! I didn't have a cookie jar before. I think it was a great idea to give mom the "suggestion"...

One week from now...

Hi all,
My dear mother is leaving me in a week. She is going on a road trip to Alabama, North Carolina and Washington D.C. and she says I can't go. Well, she says she would love to take me but then she wouldn't be able to spend time with the family in museums and other places where dogs are not allowed.
Mom, dad and the kids are going to Talladega, AL to visit my grandpa (daddy's father). Then they are going to Charlotte, NC to visit dad's sister and mother. Mom will stay with her best friend. Then they are going to Washington D.C. to meet mom's sister, nephews, brother in law and my grandma.
Sounds like a family trip, right? It is not, if I am not included.

Mom wanted to share some pictures of the first time she went to Charlotte to visit her friend, four years ago. She did a road trip with my grandma on mom's old CRX. They had a great time, even though it was FREEZING COLD.

NOTE: This fat guy is not me, just in case. I wasn't even born back then!

My Promotion

Hi friends,
I have great news! Yesterday I had a vet appointment in the afternoon, after mom's work, so I went to the office with her all day.


This is us, at her desk. (sorry I am naked in the picture. I need to buy some of Punchy's ties to dress appropiately for work).

I recieved some training on the work to do, but after a few minutes I felt more like taking a nap.

But I managed to stay awake and concentrate on the work being done.

Well, my efforts paid off. I got promoted! I now have a higher position than my mom's position!

Working With the Snuggle Puggle

Boss,
I wanted to apologize for being late to work on saturday. Mom and I planned to attend Barkpalooza and do some work hours there. The event was in a park near the Ikea store. Mom knows how to get to Ikea with her eyes closed. Somehow we drove past a few signs that had the following written on them:
"To Naples"
"last exit before entering the Everglades"
"Next exit in 26 miles"

Mom got scared. We took the last exit and then found ourselves driving back to Miami. After a U-turn, the expressway, a few streets, and being totally lost, mom saw the sign of the park.

Anyway, here is a picture taken from the park's parking lot. Mom was on all those expressways.


The event was super fun.



There were some "adopt me" pugs available. Mom can't adopt now but she was able to donate some money for a puggy that was recently rescued by Compassionate Pug Rescue and has several health problems. He didn't come to the event but mom saw pictures.

I met new friends, as usual.

Mom kissed a pug, as ussual.

Then we started our work shift. We modeled for a picture. One of the models suffered an electronic tummy tuck. Could you tell which one?

One week ago...

Good afternoon,

Welcome to our regular schedule of posts... from mom's laptop. Mom's laptop is kind of old and she barely uses it. It's mainly purpose in our lifes is to store all our pictures. There are thousands of them, so many that the computer has been running very slow for years. But it has accomplished it's main purpose with pride, so I thought it would be nice of us to upgrade its use for our blogging needs.

About 10 days ago, more exactly Friday of the previous week, mom and dad went to have dinner to a place that is 5 minutes away from home. It is a Marina and it is very very beautiful except for the fact that it doesn't allow ME.

A few weeks before, mom and dad went to the boat show. Dad's dream is to have a boat so that they can enjoy Florida's beautiful ocean and go fishing (ewwww, says mom). This is what he would like to have:

Obviously, I don't see us having a boat in the near future, because the one they can afford doesn't have air conditioning.

NO AIR CONDITIONING = UNCOMFORTABLE PUG = NO BOAT

Well, back to the restaurant where they had dinner. People get here either by car, boat or bicycle.

They have live music almost every day. With the music and the view, mom always feels as if she was on vacation.

Even though the restaurant's specialty is fish and seafood, mom has found this place to have very good options for people "allergic" to those things.

Mom ordered a sandwich with blackened chicken breast, bacon, avocado and she doesn't remember what else because she was drinking beer. But she does remember it was very good. The fries were good, too.


Once they finished, they had to go back to reality. There are a few things in the house that someway need to find a "place".

So mom and dad devoted the whole weekend (not this last weekend, but the previous one) working in the house. There are no pictures of me because I spent the whole weekend wearing my pj's.

Mom also cooked, it relaxes her. Mom and dad like to eat well, as in delicious. Well, lately they are trying to match delicious with healthy, as long as it doesn't compromise taste. Did I mention that my mom is fat?

Technical Problems

Friends,
I want to apologize for not writing half of the week. I hope you all missed me. It turns out that my very own mother is now a movie star, at least that's what I think. She says that she will not be rich or famous, even though a camera was installed in her office and that she is being filmed all day. Anyway... she used to write on my blog during lunch time or after work but now she says she feels shy to write in "public". You know, a pug has certain needs that have to be fulfilled. So I asked my mom to please write using her phone. She said she tried but... you know her... I had to step in to show her how to do it. So if you are reading this, that means we succeded. I still don't think we will be able to post pictures though... mom says she will bring her laptop to work on monday so we can continue our schedule of blog activities.
PSSS: we are reading all your updates through google reader. We will post comments on your blogs during the weekend!!

Working With the Snuggle Puggle

This week I have devoted myself into teaching my mom how to properly use her new cellphone. She was able to do some things but she still has not learned the basics such as how to make a call quickly, how to save the number of someone that just called, etc.

I hope she makes some progress today, otherwise I will have to keep this phone for myself and get her a land line.

My good friend Tweedles gave me an award this weekend, I am so honored!

So now I have to write five random things about myself.

1. It took me more than three years to finally convince both my parents (dad was easier on this one) that I won't eat my food unless there's a few drops of olive oil in it.

2. I am a pug but I am not a lap dog and I don't like to snuggle.

3. I like to be free so I can roam in the whole house, specially when nobody is home.

4. My mom loves to kiss me, specially at night when I am already sleeping and I have my tongue hanging out. Sometimes she bites my tongue. If I am awake, I clean my face right after she kisses me, yucky!!!

5. I do kiss my mom as soon as she wakes up. That's it.

Inconveniences Found

Hello buddies!
I want to report publicly my discomfort with some issues that have arisen since we moved to the new place.

-Number One:
I can't jump on the bed. It's too high for me. I have to wait for mom to take me up there to sniff around

inspect the nightstand table for paper or food

and wait to be taken down to the floor.

- Number Two:

Mom doesn't have much time to take me out in the morning because this house is too far away from her job; therefore I have to embarass myself going out to do my business with mom wearing her pijamas!!!

I will have to further evaluate the situation before suggesting to move into another house.
