My dear mother is leaving me in a week. She is going on a road trip to Alabama, North Carolina and Washington D.C. and she says I can't go. Well, she says she would love to take me but then she wouldn't be able to spend time with the family in museums and other places where dogs are not allowed.
Mom, dad and the kids are going to Talladega, AL to visit my grandpa (daddy's father). Then they are going to Charlotte, NC to visit dad's sister and mother. Mom will stay with her best friend. Then they are going to Washington D.C. to meet mom's sister, nephews, brother in law and my grandma.
Sounds like a family trip, right? It is not, if I am not included.
Mom wanted to share some pictures of the first time she went to Charlotte to visit her friend, four years ago. She did a road trip with my grandma on mom's old CRX. They had a great time, even though it was FREEZING COLD.
NOTE: This fat guy is not me, just in case. I wasn't even born back then!

I know you aren't happy that your family is leaving you, but it will be a nice time for them! They'll be so happy to see you when they return!

Oh boy - I thinks my mommy is going to do the same thing soon. Mine are going on an airplane and I have to stay with my grandpaw and granmapaw. I hope you have a nice say where ever you are going. I heard I have to ride in a car for 2 hours!!
Talladega? Ha! That's a few hours from me!
Talladega is about a hundred miles north of me.
But I just don't have the time to meet this weekend...we're moving in like...2 weeks and we've barely even started packing! EEEEK!!!!!
You'll have to let me know how it is in Talladega...maybe we can plan something for next time you're there!!!!
