Photo Bloggy Days - Saturday

On Saturday, my husband started to work early morning. He carried my bed into his pick up truck to take it to the dumpster : ( it was a very cheap bed, only mattress and box spring. I liked it that way so it was low and Coco was able to jump whenever he wanted. : (

My husband went to his house to meet a friend of his that was going to help carry the furniture into the rental truck. I still had some money on the laundry card so I did laundry in the morning. I had to go from the apartment to the laundry room back and forth like 8 times. Coco goes with me everytime, making it almost imposible for me to carry my clothes. Sigh.

Once in the apartment, I continued packing. I can't believe I have so much stuff. Once I finished packing the dishes I realized I was hungry. I found three french toasts in the freezer, but no dishes. Duh! I had to eat in the cutting board. : D

My husband was ready to take the first load from his house to the new place. I changed my phone on thursday and lost all my contacts because they did not save on the SIM card. I couldn't call my tenant to find out if she had moved out of the house where we were going to move in. So after eating I got ready and headed that way to talk to her. Coco stayed in the apartment. The tenant called me and she headed towards the house, too. My husband and his friend met me at the new place with a surprise: hubby's friend had a new puppy!!!

I spent the next couple of hours pet sitting Nala. She is an old english bulldog. I also helped unload some of the lighter things.

The new place is actually a townhouse. It is cute and the neighborhood is very pretty and nicely landscaped.

Once I got inside I realized the place was actually a lot smaller than I recalled.

I found Coco's bed in the truck and put it next to the puppy. She sniffed the bed for a while and then slept on it.

While my husband and his friend finished unloading the truck I headed back to the apartment to bring more stuff. My car is a compact hatchback but still it did help in the move. On my way back I stopped at the grocery store to buy some carrots and green beans for Coco. He would not survive without those.

I picked up boxes and Coco and went back to the townhouse. Coco met Nala. Coco was fine with her but Nala was grouchy. I had to tie Coco to a tree and talk constantly to him while unloading the car. They later became friends.

Coco walked around the house and up and down the stairs. He had been there more than two years ago - he was able to see back then - and I am sure he remembered the place.

When I entered the bedroom I had a very bad feeling. I realized we were not going to fit in the house. The bedroom set looked huge inside the master bedroom. I thought that one of the bedside tables was not going to fit, but the next day my husband put it together and it barely fit.

Once I finished unloading my car, we went back to the road. Coco was sleepy now. We went to my husband's house to pick up the last things left there. I carried clothes.

As soon as I got back to the new place I carried the clothes to the closet. Of course, my husband clothes would go in the master closet along with my clothes, right? My clothes were in plastic bags somewhere in the townhouse. Well, the master closet filled up with his clothes only...

There were some good news, though. Coco continued exploring the house with no problems. I felt relieved!

I made one more trip to the old apartment to bring more things. Coco was already very tired so he stayed in the kitchen relaxing while I carried stuff to the car.

The Photo Bloggy Days was only Friday and Saturday but since I forgot to take pictures Friday morning I did take one on Sunday morning. We wanted to have breakfast somewhere close to the new place but I didn't want to leave Coco at home yet. It was a disaster - it still is now. So we went to a Starbucks coffee that is 10 minutes away and has a very nice outdoor area. We spent like 2 hours there, as if it was our patio : P
