I wanted to explain the reason why I didn't show up to work today. I was asked to work in our backyard, planting grass and a couple of palm trees.
I got ready with all the tools and appropiate attire.
But then got tired for just being outside. It was a hot day!
I apologize for any inconviences this may have caused to the company or my backyard.

Ohh, palm trees, cool. You can use them for shade when it gets real hot, can't you.
I don't think the people at work will be upset. I think they will understand completely.
