Working With The Snuggle Puggle

Boss,
On Sunday I had to drive mom and dad to their favorite place for breakfast. I know work is work, but it was mother's day not mother-and-father's day!
Look at mom, all relaxed in the car. Daddy was even snoring in the back seat. If it is mom who drives, daddy and I have to be 100% alert to prevent a disaster.
I am a hard worker but sometimes I think that the responsibility laying up on my shoulders is just too much. I need a raise.

Smoke Signal From Far, Far Away

Dear Bloggie Friends and Maybe One or Two Friends That I Know In Person,
Thank you so much for your support now that we are having "tech" problems. Mom's brain worked for five minutes today - not that she is not thinking the rest of the time, but this 5 minutes were actually worth it... Ok, so the last few days mom has been using her phone to post. Did you know that you can create an e-mail address, write to it - attaching pictures if you want - and whatever you wrote gets automatically published on your blog when you send it? Mom has some old pictures saved on her work computer and since she has to send e-mails normally while at work... hehe... she is posting this from the office! The only thing she doesn't like too much is that the pictures appear in the beginning of the post and she can't re-arrange them. So she will be posting from her phone (with crappy new pictures) or her work computer (with nice old pictures) using this method for a while.
Now she needs to find out why she can't comment on some of your blogs. She wants ALL of our friends to know that she is reading all your blogs. And I wanted to send an e-kiss to my dear Clemmie and an e-hug to my friend Winston. Their mom wrote a very sweet post about me on her blog, my heart melted when mom read it to me! Thank you Rachel!
I hope you all have great plans for mother's day. Mom asked dad to take us to Key West on Sunday but he can't. Due to his job, he can't go too far away this weekend : (
I am sure mom will come up with another plan for us to share her special day together! Stay tuned!

Identity Crisis

Pugs and other doggies,
I am worried that mom is going to make a sudden drastic decision. She is about to pack my toys and my medicine and move with me to a remote place. She says that it just can't be a coincidence... today her laptop crashed! Well, we don't know if it can be saved yet, but it happened after mom finished uploading pictures for my blog and left the laptop on to write a little bit later. So... now we don't have internet at home, we don't have a laptop to take to work to blog from there, we can't blog from work's computer because there is a camera watching us and we can't comment on some of our friend's blogs from this phone because... we don't know why. Mom says maybe destiny is telling her that we should forget about technology and move far, far away, to a place where only smoke signals are available to communicate. I just hope there's a fridge over there to keep my veggies fresh.

Troubled And Not Wordless Wednesday

The internet connection at home is not working very well. Mom is posting from her cellphone in the meantime. She will probably bring her laptop to the office tomorrow so she can do it during lunch time. I have been trying to post some comments on your blogs but they don't seem to publish!
Many days ago mom thought that she had lots of pictures on her phone and then realized there were none. She thought that her NEW phone had broken. Then, after a week or so a message appeared: "unsafe to remove card". Mmmmm... what could that mean? Next day, mom dropped the phone on the floor - accidentally, of course, just like every single time she has dropped it before (almost everyday). And the card juumped outside of the phone! Mom pushed it in place. A few days later, mom realized that she can save pics from the web on her phone. She saved the Teletubbies picture that Emmitt took while at his house. When mom was about to send the picture by email... Mmmmmm... how did all of this old pictures appeared again??? Duhhh mom!!! The card was not in place for almost a month!!! So the pictures from yesterday and today's posts are OLD.
I am sharing today a visit to West Elm, our favorite furniture store. Mom likes the style and colors, I like the fact that almost everything there is low enough for me to jump on. This store is not in a pet friendly mall but we were there already, and mom thought that if I can't go in, she would figure it out when someone from the store tells her so. I was proud of her because she is usually afraid to do that. Of course, nobody said a word. Either I am super charming, or the store is pet friendly indeed.

This pictures may give the impression that I am not behaving good at work. That is not the case. My mother recently bought biodegradable poop bags for me. I thought, why not complete the whole recycle process? I now collect and process toilet paper, recycle it and finally make sure it ends up in a biodegradable package.

Wild Life

Hi Friends!
I know it is almost useless to post something today, since it's easier if I just tell you all this in person, but with all the fun going on at the Emmitt's house, I'd rather have you read this once you get back home.
BUT if you are reading this right now, please turn off your computer, get your swimsuit ready and tell your parents that you are going to "obedience school" NOW. Did you know that today's Harry's birthday? Don't feel sorry for him celebrating his birthday at school... hehe.

Friends, look at my new award! Nevis was so sweet to choose me, along with Salinger, as the cutest pugs around! Thank you! Now I have to choose two cute pugs. This is too hard!!! All of you are cute for me and my mother! But, if I still have to choose... mmmm... I will choose the couple of pug girls that are sun tanning with their colorful bikinis right now on Emmitt's backyard ! Let me get closer so I can sniff* who they are... :P

Well this post was going to be about something mom and dad did last weekend, but apparently I couldn't focus on the main subject - Hey Pearly-girly, another margarita? - and I don't even know if the title fits anymore... but who cares? So stay tuned for another post about wild life!

My Favorite Place

Hello pug-friends, pug-people and people-friends,
Look what mom got on the mail the other day! Isn't this very very sweet? Mom ordered the cutest stationery from our friend Hera's mom. Go visit her blog if you haven't met her yet, she is always sharing fun stuff with all of us!

Now that mom has been feeling better, we got to go out on saturday. It was a very nice day here! Our local pug meetup group had a get together but dad is always hard to convice and he offered to go out with me anyway so mom didn't push to go to the meetup this time. I missed my friends but still had lots of fun with my parents.

Daddy had a gift certificate for Banana Republic and mom needed to buy some dog treats and also a gift certificate for her co-worker's birthday. Mmmmm... what's the perfect place to go on such a nice day that is pet friendly at the same time?

Lincoln Road Mall, in South Beach! My favorite place!

Friends, this place was packed with turists! I was wondering... what if any of my fellow puggy bloggers come here on vacation sometime? Let me know and we could meet! Let me tell you... about 15 people came to me to pet me, and I even got photographed with a stranger's huge professional camera... so it would be so much fun if it is one of my bloggie friends doing so! And I know a lot of people come here for vacation!

Ok, back to reality... We strolled from one end of the mall to the other. My favorite store is Pottery Barn, because it has cold concrete floors and also because it has a bathroom mom seems to need to use everytime we come here.

The trend now is to decorate with natural colors. They match with my fur color!

But mom and dad didn't plan to buy anything in there, even though it's my dad's favorite furniture store. Mom's favorite is West Elm.

Daddy liked all the sea creatures they sell in packages. There's a fish tank at home but we don't have water or fishies in there yet.

Right next door there is a Williams-Sonoma store. Mom saw something for the kitchen she would like to have but... it was too expensive! It is a red big mixing machine.

We discovered a new store, it's called Jonathan Adler, or something like that, with contemporary furniture and decoration. Mom LOOOOOVED it! But... too expensive! They had some very nice colorful cushions... $110 each.

Next stop: Banana Republic. Dad got a couple of shirts with his gift certificate and mom... just watched. She has lots of clothes already. We modeled in front of the mirror, though.

Then, someone screamed. What's that, mom? The store has a mezzanine and a lady standing upstairs was screaming because she wanted to pet me. So there we went, upstairs, to let the lady say hi to me. She was very nice but she started crying when she realized that I don't have eyes. Mom explained that it has not affected my lifestyle at all... and then downstairs I went, not missing a single step.

We continued strolling on Lincoln Road after that and I met another pug!

Then we went inside Books and Books, to refresh for a while. Don't you think it's awesome how I can enter to all the stores in this mall?

Mom and dad were starving by the time we were out of the bookstore. They didn't plan to have dinner out but... we were so far away from home! Mom's friend had recommended The Ice Box and this was the perfect time to try the place. You can't imagine how many times mom and dad had been disappointed with the food, even in fancy restaurants. They have very exigent paladars. This place was very good, according to my parents, but I can't give it any credit because mom brought my lunchbox along, so I couldn't try a single item from the menu. I was so mad, I didn't want to eat my food. Mom had to hand feed me. My fury went away when I realized that she also brought some carrots and green beans for me.

It was getting late and we had to go back to the car. On our way we passed by Romero Britto's showroom. I found the perfect piece of art for my bedroom!

It looks as if it was made specially for me. It represents my status at home - The King.

Right in front of the car there was a building that was painted inspired by daddy's shirt.

We got on the car right on time, 07:57 PM. Now if only mom could get to work with such precision...

Vacation

Hi all!
Since I don't have anything new to share, I will show you some pictures of a store mom visited while in N.C.



It's called Art Space Studio. Mom had never seen any store like that before.

You go in, choose a piece of ceramic to paint, they give you all the supplies and help you with the technics and once you are ready, they put the piece in the burner and after a few days your piece is ready. That sounds like so much fun! Mom will look for a similar store near our house because she didn't have time to do anything while she was there.

While browsing the samples and painted pieces to be picked up, look who mom found there!

Hi Clover! We miss you!

Just in case you had forgotten already, mom and the family were on a road trip. This is daddy's car, much bigger and comfortable than mom's (they got tired, anyway).

On their way to mom's friend's house, mom and dad found a park. It had hiking paths and a gorgeous view of Lake Wylie.

The couple of hours spent on this park was the only moment during their 10-day vacation where mom and dad really got to relax.

Mom specially enjoyed the puppy kisses. Yes, she managed to find a puppy to kiss, because...

NO DOGGIE KISS = NO VACATION!
