I hope all of you are doing good. Mom and I have been worried with so many storms and tornadoes around. Please be safe!
I need to ask you a big favor. Baby sister and I are trying to choose the right flooring for our home. We like wood although we know that it will scratch a little (or a lot). Do any of you have wood flooring? What type of wood? How do you like it?

In my home... our kitchen has laminate... and it looks like barn boards... we love it.

We hope you are safe as well, Coco and family. Mom has a Pergo floor in the kitchen, but she likes the Dupont better. That is the floor in PlusOne's bedroom. It has a moisture backing (I think, it's green) and it is real durable and easy to clean.

We have a wood floor that is similar to the dark wood that you are on in the pictures. Mom hates it. One a darker wood shows pug hair like no other. In a day it will be covered with hair. Mom thinks wood is goood but go for a lighter choice with maybe some dark hints in the grain to help cover up any scratches or hair. Laminate would be best if you are worried about scrathces. Coco, buddy.....we got hard wood floors an' we love 'em.
Now keep in mind our house is 49 years old an' these are the original floors. Not like the cheap crap they make nowadays.
Anyhoo, our toenails haven't scratched 'em up much, an' the poop (O'Mally's!) cleans up easy.
We have espresso colored wood flooring and it is awesome. We have had very minimal scratching, but pug hair really shows up on the dark color. Boo. Still though it is worth it to save my mom from allergy attacks.
My grandpawrents have Pergo and they give a thumbs up!
