It's my dear mommy's birthday!

My mommy thought she would spend it doing her favorite hobby: sewing. Ha! No one can resist the power of cuddly pug naps.

Once upon a time...

I lived in a wicked house which for an unknown reason had an undiscovered weak cable signal. On a sunny day a new cableman was expected to come, and with him he brought wisdom and hard work. Two hours later, the problem was fixed and we lived happily ever after with internet connection at home (hopefully).

P.S. More than a month ago my friend Jaxson and I celebrated our birthday party with furry and not so furry big and small friends.

Hey Jax, I hear there's going to be a surprise party for us out there. Pretend that you know nothing!

 A campsite? Cool! How many nights are we sleeping here? Dad, you are installing an air conditioning unit for me here, aren't you?

 Someone, please, I think I dropped something inside this bag. Could you take everything out for me to sniff (taste)? 

Sarah, I get it. You're hungry. Here's your party favor - there's a treat inside.

Daddy, I need more s'mores, with extra mashmallows and no chocolate. Quit making those for mom - does she really need more?.

  

Shh... don't tell the kids there's more cake. Just serve whatever is left on my plate. Oh, I love this party. When am I having a birthday again this year?

Forty Three Wishes

Hello friends,

I am sorry I still haven't been around commenting, but mom had a bright idea to help me do so, and that involves rearranging something on my blog layout. Hopefully she will work on that tomorrow, because she mentioned something about today and forty three wishes... I've been very busy making my list of wishes, I thought and thought so much I fell asleep. Forty three is such a big number!

Well, mom has been sleeping a lot this days also. She has been feeling kind of down with so many bad news; the earthquake, friends going to the rainbow bridge... but she is feeling much better today, specially after she saw daddy so happy with his birthday presents. Wait, now I find out that he's the one who has to make forty three wishes?

Daddy, how about sharing some wishes with me?

Last Sunday

Hi Friends!
I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was kind of boring... my family made plans non-pug friendly. Unbelievable. I did have a great Sunday last week though. I was invited a very special event: my best buddy Jaxson's birthday party! He organized it at the Colony Hotel in Delray Beach, which is kind of far away but that's what parents are for, right? To take you places, feed you, buy you toys, etc. So, I hurried mom to feel better from her cold that day. Daddy had a class and I hurried him to come home early, too. Unfortunately, when he got home he was too tired and mom didn't feel well enough to drive. Friends, I have to tell you, the puppy sad face works. It was a little late already when mom was ready to take me, and just as she opened the front door to leave... our new troublesome neighbor wouldn't let us walk out the door. Man, I was so angry! Dad had to wake up and get ready because there was no way this puggy was missing the party. So, after dad finally walked out the door and had a few words with the crabby new neighbor, mom and I were able to jump on the car. I am always relieved when daddy drives, specially that day because it rained so much. It took us almost double the time to get there with the superb storm. I am so lucky to have such good friends, they had waited at the party for us to arrive!




Daddy loved the hotel. It is 83 years old and it still has the original elevator working. I wish mom was more intelligent, but she isn't so there are no pictures of the girls at the party. They were wearing beautiful pink dresses! You can tell mom forgot to use the flash on the first pictures also. Seriously, she needs vitamin supplements already!

Daddy had a great time chatting with Jax and his parents.



That was, until mom started shouting "I know them, I know them!". Winston and Clemmie were on America's Funniest Videos again!




After a few dances,



a piece of cake, a couple of drinks,



and a visit to the bathroom



we were ready to leave.


We didn't go home though, we went for a stroll on Delray Beach's trendiest street! Jax and I had a great time together!

Grandma's Day

Friends,

Today I would like to wish my grandma a happy 79th birthday.

I can't wait for her to visit me again. After all, I have been a very important influence in her life.

I was there when she learned to ride a trycicle.

I was also there when she was able to ride one by herself.

I taught her the importance of sharing even when it is a hard thing to do. We both progressed through I-95 with her feet and my body squished in mom's tiny car for our first long road trip together. She devoted unnumerable hours holding a bottle for me to drink water of. She also shared all her snacks with her youngest grandson (me).




I wish she could have learned the most important lesson of all: To kiss a pug. That's going to be my mission next time she visits.



Do you think she looks 79 years old? Don't look at her wrinkles, she's supposed to be a pug!
