More Of The Same

Hi Friends,
I hope you are all enjoying a relaxed sunday. Mom is sick, she has a cold and also the stomach flu but at the same time she is happy because we now have internet connection at home. It doesn't work on her laptop though but she can help me post from our home computer (which, by the way, was recently fixed after being broken for more than a year).

Just to show daddy how thankful we are for this, I will post some more pictures from North Carolina, this time from his favorite place: the botanical garden. Daddy LOVES plants, specially orchids and palm trees. He changed the landscape of his old backyard like 5 times in 3 years, giving away bushes and palm trees so his friends could fix their home's landscape... Our current backyard is tiny but he already worked on the landscape. I'll show you pictures another time.

Welcome to the botanical garden:

The building was not too big, but it was very nice. They had a cute store where mom wanted to buy a few things but it was a little expensive and we don't have that much space for more stuff in the house anyway.

There were lots of blooming flowers, very colorful and beautiful. Mom doesn't see that many flowers were we live.

Look at that giant flower! Oh no, it's just mom. It was a sunny day but mom says it was cold*. She even had the sweater's and the down jacket's hood on, but she looked weird so she took it off for the pictures.

The greenhouse was awesome! Mom and dad liked it a lot.

Mom was hungry but lucky to find some chocolate inside the greenhouse.

When they left the botanical garden it was lunch time. Mom had been looking forward for this moment for so long... She was going to eat to one of her favorite places**!

Since I know you all want to see me, I'll post this picture. I hid inside the bushes, can you find me?

I Am Not Here

Friends,
This post will be an intelligence test for you all. All the pictures are in disorder, and mom has only 10 minutes to type because the pics took a lot of time uploading and dad took mom's mouse so she is slower than ever on the laptop... and the end of her lunchtime is approaching soon...

OK so after Alabama, they drove to North Carolina. Mom stayed with her best friend near Charlotte (she actually lives in South Carolina), while dad and the kids visited dad's mother and sister. Mom, her friend and her friend's husband went to the university together in Peru. They now have a beautiful, super cute and super inteligent girl. Mom loved her and is now thinking she maybe would like to have a baby girl sometime (MOM, what about a pug girl?)



Before arriving to their home, mom found some beautiful trees in a rest stop.

In the same rest stop they saw a wild cat, he was so cute!

Dad's kids are actually teenagers, but mom met them when they were about 8 years old.

One of the kids found a ladybug walking on mom's tummy. Can you see it? (please try to see the ladybug and not mom's hair)

This is daddy, you know him already. He looks much younger than he actually is.

On their way from Alabama to North Carolina, they passed by Atlanta again.

I wanted to apologize to my fans (hello Pearly!) for not showing a picture of myself on this post. I know I ruined the post for not being here, but I promise you will see me again soon! (Dad may connect internet at home this weekend... yayyy!!)

Sweet Home Alabama

Hello friends!

I wanted to share some pictures of the road trip mom went to without me. The first stop was in Alabama, but the first picture is in a place called Leesburg in Florida. Mom said they couldn't drive more than 4 hours the first night because they were tired.

The second day they were determined to get to the planned destination so they only stopped in Crackel Barrel to have lunch, near a town called "Swampy grass" according to mom, or "Grassy pond" according to dad. Anyway, it was in Georgia.

Mom wished she could have stopped in Atlanta for a while but they were so tired they just wanted to get to a hotel to sleep.

They arrived to Talladega, Alabama later in the afternoon. The next day they visited the area after visiting grandpa for a while.

The most important feature about Talladega is that there are a couple of things that reminded mom of me:

The Supermarket.

And some little furry creatures:

Mom loved the essence of the place. Many buildings were, or at least looked abandoned and mom felt sorry because it seems that there is not much activity in downtown; but at the same time the old buildings have a lot of personality and mom appreciates that in a city.

Dad and the kids, on the other hand, hated the place. They said it was boring and sad, so mom didn't have a chance to get down of the car. All the pictures were taken while they were driving around!

Other things mom loved about Alabama were the hills and the trees and vegetation. They were so beautiful! And the weather was cold but very nice. It is weird for mom to say that, but she felt that the cold air was very refreshing.

Mom wished she could have visited Birmingham - only an hour away - but again, there was no time and they were tired!
They went back on the road on Monday morning.

Working With the Snuggle Puggle

Dear Boss and Co-workers:
I'M BACK! Mom picked me up from the vet yesterday. She found me cute, clean and relaxed.



But that doesn't mean I didn't work. Since mom was going to be on vacation visiting boring places...



I had to work extra hours before she left. It was very important because she was going on a road trip with almost the whole family (I was not going). I left easy driving instructions on mom's phone to make sure she was going to drive safely:

"First, you need to put your seat belt on."


"Then you can start the car and change the shift".



"Always keep a safe distance from other cars".


"All the luggage must go on the truck bed".

"Don't forget to close the tailgate!"

Well, Boss, it was very disappointing for me to find out that my instructions were almost useless. Of the 45 hours driven on the road trip, mom only did less than 3 hours!!!

Wrinkles and Award!

Friends,
Do you see the wrinkles on my face? Mom had some wrinkles on her face yesterday, too.



Mom got mad at work and then she also got mad with some people for reclaiming daddy's dependents on their taxes not telling a word... mommy thinks they got stolen. Anyway, se also got mad with other things that happened yesterday but she is feeling better now. I tickled her when she got home and she couldn't stop laughing for a very long time!

To make mom's day happier, I showed her the award sweet Pearl gave me:

Pearl said she liked it when we speak in spanish, that was so nice of her! Thank you so much! Oh, and happy belated birthday Pearly's momma!

Mom would like to pass this award to Bajas and Virus, they live in Norway and we find it always interesting to know more about them, their culture, language and country!
