Not A Fun Weekend

Friends,
Mom is still sick, so guess what? We didn't do anything exciting yesterday! Mom needs to urgently update her camera with pictures of ME. In the meantime, this is a picture of me, much more younger than today (well, maybe a few months younger...)

Remember I told you yesterday that mom wanted to eat in this place she liked so much? She says she worked there for a couple of months, many years ago, in California. This is her former boss:

He looks like a great guy, even though the job was not pet friendly.

Mom's favorite is the sourdough Jack and the shakes, specially the eggnog shake that was not available this time. Mom will have to contact her former boss to request the opening of a closer location to our home.

Right after mom and dad had lunch they headed towards Downtown Charlotte. What a beautiful city! Mom and dad love the architecture, very modern/classic, with lots of brick walls.

More colorful trees! It totally brightens the streets.

Mom's favorite tree was this white one. It's so white it almost looks unreal. She saw the same tree in Alabama. Does anyone know the name? Dad said it's a Dogwood. It makes sense to me.

So if any of you live in Charlotte and saw this crazy lady taking hundreds of pictures from a car driving in circles, you've met my mother. Daddy said they didn't have time to park and walk in the city... again!

Hi Coco!

Charlotte looks SO pretty! I love the way all the buildings look. Those pictures made Momma want to go there!

Thanks for posting that picture of you! I was missing your face, as usual!

I really hope your Mom feels better soon!

Hi Coco,

Sorry your Mommy is sick. I wish I could check out cool buildings like that and pee on such pretty trees like that Dogwood. :)

Looks like a dogwood to me too. Love the flowers in the previous post and the pics of your curly tail. Like the photos of North Carolina. Hope your Mom is better soon! Take good care of her!

Hi Coco - My dad loves Jack in the Box. He used to go there a lot when he was in high school and he said they had great tacos. I have never been there, but since they aren't pet friendly, I guess I never will.
I hope your mom feels better soon. At least she has you to take care of her.
Stubby xoxo

Mmm...sourdough jacks....! I miss Jack in the Box. We don't have them here in Alabama...but I loved how they served breakfast all day. And pretty much everything on their menu was awesome!

Yes, that white tree is a dogwood and the pink fluffy tree is a quazon(sp?) cherry tree. Both beautiful, both native to NC - my parents have a bunch of both of those trees in their yard in NC. I love seeing them - they remind me of home :)
