Hello Friends, puggies, other doggies, maybe some cats and humans!
Thank you for voting to help me choose a costume for the contest! I know you are all waiting to know how the contest went... but I'd rather tell you all about Pug Picnic first!
Mom and I are members of the Pug Club of South Florida (besides being part of two pug meetup groups also), and they organize one pug picnic in november, a party for humans-only in December, a meetup for puggies in January and a BIG Pug Picnic in February. The first meetup I ever attended -because I was healthy enough to finally go out and about - was the February Pug Picnic almost three years ago. Mom was in pug heaven, there were about 300 people with about 300+ pugs! I was the happiest pug on earth. Dad was terrified. He said all of the people in the park - besides him - were crazy. Funny, he's attended hundreds of pug meetups ever since... and he seems to enjoy it!
Back to last Sunday... Once I arrived I spotted the girls.
There were plenty of them.
But they were leaving!
The party had almost ended by the time we arrived. Why? Because mom lives in another time zone. She's stuck with "Peruvian Time" in which you are ALWAYS late. I missed the costume contest!!!
Lucky me, my best puggy friend Jax was there to save the day. We stayed in the park chatting and sniffing for a while.

Aww.. we're sorry you missed most of the meet-up. Mom finds it funny how cultures have different views on time. She has some Indian friends who talk about IST (Indian Standard Time) hehe.. She thinks it is a very funny term.
Kisses,
B
Aww Coco, I am so sorry you missed the contest. I just know you would have won!
At least you got to see your friends! Don't be too hard on your mom, she has her mind on a lot of things right now!! :)

Pearly
glad you got there regardless of time. :)
Hi Coco! I'm sure your mom is just has her mind on other things right now. Like Pearl said, don't be too hard on her.
I'm so glad you got to hang out with your friend Jax. It's always fun to play with other puggies and to be out and about.
Stubby xoxo
Oh no!! hahaha
Coco, I think you need to get your mom a new watch!! One that is set to your own time zone! I'm sorry you missed the costume contest -- it would have been great to see! You would have rocked! And what is this about no treats????? You really need to talk to your mom about that!
Hi Coco
I think you need to set some rules
Rule #1 make sure treats are in the purse. ALWAY! (cherios work)
Rule #2 make sure treats are in the pockets. ALWAYS!(more cherios)
Sorry you missed the contest, but you got to see some friends anyway.
