ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM BEAUTIFUL LAKE

Hi friends!
Just a quick post to let you know that I miss you! This is a picture of mom having a very relaxing breakfast on a Sunday morning. Things have been kind of stressful here. First, grandma went to the hospital while visiting my aunty in Canada. In the end, it was nothing, but mom always gets sick and nervous. On top of that, mom is having very busy days at work, staying late most days. She can't even relax during lunchtime because, not happy with installing cameras, the owner blocked most websites from the computers, and then he came to the office and told mom's coworker that personal use of the computers is not allowed anytime (he'll never dare to tell mom directly). That means that mom can't blog during her one hour lunch. Do you know how much wasted time that is?
So, now I have to wait for mom to come home, and see if after cooking, eating and walking me she still has energy to open the laptop and use it; that is, if the internet connection works. Sometimes it doesn't.
I wanted to thank you all for the sweet comments on our last post. I wanted to answer some of the questions directly on your blogs but this is the phone and the phone is kind of retarded, so I better explain here. One quick paragraph for all:
Mom was born and grew up in Peru; she came to the US at 26 years old. Mom is somehow in panic with the idea of having a baby for many reasons, maybe being the most significant the fact that besides dad, she has no family here. Her family in Peru is very big - more than 200 between her dad's siblings and their descendants, now add her mom's side of the family... and they are quite close to each other. The baby will have almost no relatives here, mom will have no help at all, nothing. She has no idea of how to care for a baby, she is scared of carrying them since they look so fragile, and she has never changed a diaper! She may have to stop working (they don't pay a single day of maternity leave). But she knows that all is possible, so she is getting more used to the idea; maybe so used to the idea that she is now freaking out because she is not expecting yet.
Now, nobody has asked me what I thing about having human siblings...
Love was all she had expected it to be, except for one thing or two. She was in love with a guy who was determined to never ever marry again; a guy who had two kids from his previous marriage and who was also determined to never ever have any more kids. One could be certain that she had met the wrong guy. Not really. He met the wrong girl!
Now that I've learned, practiced and mastered the art of jumping on to furniture, as teached by Professor Roxy, The Devil Dog, I feel the need to pursue further studies to be able to jump down. Any suggestions of a good school to attend will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Coco
