Working With the Snuggle Puggle

Good morning boss,
I want to report my activities during my work shift. First I went inside my office.

I took a few minutes to find a comfortable position. After all I will be doing is for long hours, hoping to get some overtime!

When I was ready, I called my costumers to the office.
Hey, watch out! Too much traffic!
I love being a chauffer!

Nice Weekend

Hello friends!
Last friday was daddy's birthday - thank you all for the greetings - but I didn't have much fun as you can see on this picture.

Why I am so sad, you ask? Because I didn't have a piece of cake! I was told that it had strawberry mousse, passion fruit mousse and chocolate. I bet it was GOOD!

Since my grandma and grandmama were returning to Perú on sunday, we went on saturday to South Beach to walk for a while before heading to my pug meetup. It was a very nice day! They enjoyed the car ride because...

... the sky was blue...

... the ocean was turquoise...

... and I was bored.

Once we got to Lincoln Road mall mom had to go to the bathroom (as usual). I love the fact that all stores in this mall allows dogs inside. My grandmama took lots of pictures outside and in the meantime I devoted myself to some exercise, going up and down this little wall. I had fun.

Then I run to recognize the area. There were heaters all over the place... I don't think they have been used this year.

Finally, a family picture. Right after this picture the camera batteries died. No pictures from my pug meetup. Sorry guys!

Fantastic Friday!

Hi Friends!
I have good news! Mom and dad went yesterday to talk to an advisor and he said that they can live in mom's townhouse while dad's mother's house gets sold. It seems that there are more options than mom considered and, with the help of the advisor, dad is willing to give it a try so they can keep it. She feels better because she knows what she has to do now.
I hope things work out for them. Since mom is not stressed anymore, I didn't snuggle with her today. I did lay down on her head while she was trying to sleep, though. Thank you all for your kind words!
Oh and before I forget, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!

A Secret

Hi buddies,
I am sad today. I usually wake mom up in the morning, we play and go for a little walk. She didn't today. I know she is not doing well, it has been a while already. Dad is not doing very well, either. I heard something about them not getting to sleep well at night and being stressed out. Something about mom having headaches everyday and her eyes hurting a lot. She is not used to headaches neither to take pills.

This is a time when mom and dad have to make lots of decisions. They made mistakes in the past and are now trying to finally decide as a couple to move forward in their marriage. They have been married for more than four years and now is when they are willing to really start a new life together. It is not that they didn't want to before.

Dad made an arrangement with his mother previous to his marriage. They remodeled an old house she owned, moved in together and dad paid the mortgage. He had shared custody for his two daughters and his mother helped a lot at that time. Mom tried to live with that woman before and after her marriage and did not succeed. Dad's mother was the housewife, mom was the guest. Mom was taught to be respectful with older people and would say nothing to her. She would complain to dad but he hates conflict. Mom hates conflicts, too. She was very unhappy.

For their first year of marriage and the last 2 mom has been living in an apartment by herself while dad was trying to find a solution. Mom was tired of waiting. She was tired of being depressed and hopeless.

Right after Christmas - and after mom asked dad to leave for good - dad talked again to his mother and his only sister. They finally accepted to live together and let my dad have a life with his wife. It was fair, dad has been sustaining his mother for the past 20 years! They have to sell the house to share the money, that will take a while. In the meantime the mother moved to North Carolina with dad's sister and dad will rent the house. Mom and dad need to find a place to move in together as soon as possible, because his stuff doesn't fit in the apartment mom is renting now.

Mom owns a townhouse that has been rented for the past two years. She always wished they could move there someday. They can't now. Mom and dad are making less money than 2 years ago: no overtime for dad and no work to take home for mom. Ha has to pay child support now, because his kids are staying longer with their mother - they needed stability in their life. Mom never expected all of that to happen. Her interest rates will be variable in a few months. The association fees have increased, property taxes are pretty high.

Mom managed to pay the mortgage for two years with the rent, some money grandma sent and her salary, leaving almost no money for mom after paying all her expenses. The property is now valued 40% the purchase price. Refinance is not an option. Mortgage modification? Payments will still be high and it will only help for a year or two. Mom and dad are thinking of starting a new family. What will happen when payments go up again? Mom would like to find a solution to keep the property but dad doesn't. He wants to start from scratch. If they move into the townhouse, mortgage payments, fees and taxes will take most of their money. The tenant is leaving in less than a month.

Mom needs stability in her life, too. Dad thinks it is best to rent an apartment until his property sells and use that money as down payment for a house they can really afford now. They don't want to make another big mistake.

This morning I tryed to help her ease the stress lying on top of her head. After a while I snuggled with her until she felt better and woke up. She was happy because we snuggled together!

Working With the Snuggle Puggle

Good morning dear co-workers and friends,
Just when I thought I was going to spend the day working as a personal trainer, destiny changed my plans drastically.

It happened that a film was being produced a few feet away from where I was. Boring.

I don't like boring movies so I put all my wrinkles to work, thinking.

After a few minutes, I had a great idea. Some fiction would add fun and interest to the movie, such as huge monsters and little human-like creatures.

The producers loved my idea and that is how I got a spot in the film industry.

My Trip to Cocoa Beach

Hello friends!
Right before Saint Augustine mom, grandma and I went to Cocoa Beach to receive the New Year. Guess what? Our room was on the second floor.

Mom was impressed at how good I behave on my first time in a hotel room. It seemed as if I was home. I didn't even bump into the furniture!

What I liked the most, was the mini fridge that was totally at my reach. I had the chance to steal some pancakes that were yummy!

This was my very first road trip.

I trained my grandma to give me water as I pleased. She did great. In the meantime, mom was driving and trying to not fall asleep at the same time. She did great, too.

Cocoa Beach is very nice despite the fact that dogs are not allowed at the beach. I didn't understand the restriction since I saw other animals at the beach. Not trained and without a leash. Can you believe that?

I did like the fact that it is very windy. It feels really fresh!

Mom and I had trouble keeping our hairdo in place for the pictures.

The sand reminded me of my pug friends up North because it looks like snow, warm snow. Some friends mentioned how hard it is to go to the bathroom out there and I wanted to try by myself.

No problem in the warm snow!

We didn't do much in Cocoa Beach, just relax for a day and a half. Then we drove to Saint Augustine to meet the rest of the family. After a couple of days they returned to Canada and we returned home. We all had a great time, even though it was sad to say goodbye.
I miss my little cousins!

A Scary Night

Hello friends!
You won't believe the nightmare our trip to Saint Augustine was. No, it was not because of the exhausting walks with the kids;

or the jogging I engaged in for hours;

or the constant supervision to the kids while they were surfing.

It was not a nightmare because of my exhaustion.

Neither because of the stairs I had to climb everyday, up and down.

You all know me, Coco. I am a brave pug.

Wait. Did you hear that noise?

Run away!!!

Faster!

There were monsters at night! REAL MONSTERS!
