News

Hello!
It's been a long time since my last post. I have been a good boy and I haven't asked mom to help me with the computer even though I have a lot of pictures and stories to share with you, but at the same time mom was trying to spend more time with grandma after work and before going to bed. Then, grandma left on Tuesday. I know she didn't return to Peru because I can sniff her scent on mom and dad's clothes everyday. Where's grandma? Mom said she is in the hospital. Can I visit her? Mom said doggies are not allowed there but that she asks for me everyday.
It turns out grandma has an infeccion in her leg called cellulitis (that's in spanish and hopefully it is the same in english). She is 79 years old, very strong and always in a good mood. But she never says a word when she feels sick or there's something wrong with her. Ever since she was diagnosed with cardiovascular disease two years ago, mom and aunt are very worried about her living so far away from her only two daughters. Doctors are still examining her to determine if there's something else wrong, because it doesn't look much better with the current treatment. I only hope she can get better soon to get out of the hospital and come back with us, until she returns back home. And so mom gets back to her old self. All this 8 hrs working plus 3 hrs hospital visiting are making her MUCH more tired and she is not eating very well.
In other news... I am going to have a baby sister! As soon as mom found out, she run to buy a cute baby girl album from Sunny's store, now called Papercut Kitchen. Mom hasn't had a chance to thank her for sending it so fast, and she was sad not to be able to participate in her new store's opening giveaways but we hope she reads this! Hi!
Well friends, I hope I can use the real computer next time. I've missed you all, and mom has to finish reorganizing my blog to help me comment. Basicallly, she is dividing the blog roll into two categories: one where she can comment from the phone (which she'll do once her life gets less hectic), and the other one she has to comment from the computer because her cellphone won't publish it. That way she knows who she needs to visit first when she uses the laptop.

Cozy Pug Closet

Hi pugs and people!
Just a quick note to thank you all for the compliments of me and my pajamas. It is made of flannel and is not only cute, but also comfy and warm! Some of you asked where I got them. Punchy over at pugpossessed dot blogspot . com made them specially for me! Visit her blog and let her know that you'd like one!
I have a suggestion though... make sure your parents get a human-size cozy PJ as well, or you risk of loosing some items from your closet during winter!
About the green sweater with red trim... I don't remember where I bought it but it was a good buy because three years later (and many pounds added), and it still fits!

Forty Three Wishes

Hello friends,

I am sorry I still haven't been around commenting, but mom had a bright idea to help me do so, and that involves rearranging something on my blog layout. Hopefully she will work on that tomorrow, because she mentioned something about today and forty three wishes... I've been very busy making my list of wishes, I thought and thought so much I fell asleep. Forty three is such a big number!

Well, mom has been sleeping a lot this days also. She has been feeling kind of down with so many bad news; the earthquake, friends going to the rainbow bridge... but she is feeling much better today, specially after she saw daddy so happy with his birthday presents. Wait, now I find out that he's the one who has to make forty three wishes?

Daddy, how about sharing some wishes with me?

The Zombie

Every night, at 9 o'clock, I go to sleep wishing for a sweet and quiet dream. Oh, I wish. I don't know exactly the time, but it has to be dawn, when something suddenly moves, comes close to me and lays down on the floor, breathing right on my face. It bothers me and let it know with a sleepy complain. I used to wake up and walk away but now I don't. I just turn around and fall asleep again, cheek to cheek, for who knows how long, until dad calls my mother's name and right then I know the nightmare is over. She goes back to bed with dad and we sleep happily ever after.

My Winter

On a regular winter day, I step on the car

find a fancy outdoors place

join some friends for a fun afternoon

and enjoy some ice cream and soda.

There are some days though

when I wont get a ride out because "it's too cold"

Then I'll just run downstairs

drink some water

and enjoy a few poopsicles - my favorite flavor.

Wordless Wednesday

I am back!

Hello friends!
I have been on a vacation this past month, spending a lot of time with grandma and then the past 10 days also with my aunty and cousins, therefore I haven't had a lot of time to blog. Mom promised she will make some time to help me blog now that she is trying to stay awake for more than 2 hours after she gets home from work - yes, she's been THAT lazy!!!
Anyway, I have so many news I don't know where to start now. First, I would like to thank all my friends that sent Christmas cards this year. I loved them all, and I am keeping them in a special box so I can put them back on the living room table next year! Mom did finish our cards a little late but she got to mail them out before Christmas. I hope you got them on time and that you liked them, specially the picture :D.



Santa Paws visited my friend Jax's home early this year, and he left a few presents for us under his tree! Jax's mom gave us this cute bear filled with homemade cookies (plus two more boxes with more cookies!). Mom, dad and the rest of the family - who got to try what was left of the cookies - LOVED them so much! Mom read on some blogs how your moms bake cookies too. She didn't know about this nice tradition and she is glad she got to try some from her dear friend. Now dad is asking her to learn how to make them so she can bake a few for next year! (recipes are welcome).



Jax also gave mom a special present for me: A marrow bone and two chew toys! Wow, I can't believe Santa Paws would know me so well. Besides sleeping and eating, chewing marrow bones is my favorite way to spend time at home and at work! I don't have pictures yet, because mom forgot my bone and chew toys at work last Wednesday and she got sick and couldn't go back to the office on Thursday to pick them up. Yeah, this has been a loooong boring weekend for me!

On Christmas eve Santa Paws visited my own home and left three (or two?) more presents!

1. A blue scarf. Don't I look like an artist wearing my scarf?



2. A Punchy PJ. Don't I look sexy on my new PJ's?








3. An AnimalPlanet blankie. Don't I look comfy with my blankie? No, I don't, because I barely use it! Mom has been sleeping with my blankie because she says it is freezing in here and that's the only way she can sleep. She has a cold now but as soon as she feels better, I want my blankie back!



To make things worst, dad said I had to share my blankie during the day with my fishie siblings.

Is that fair? Santa Paws should have thought of them and got them a fish tank cover!

I visited Santa Paws and he said I was such a good boy I would get a lot of presents under our tree! I am just a little worried, because our Christmas tree only measures 10 inches... How will Santa Paws fit ALL my presents underneath that tiny thing?
