Back Home!

I want to thank all of our blogging friends for the nice words and wishes regarding my worries from my last post. Hubby is home already and feeling much better now. At first, he didn't want to get near Coco in fears of getting an allergic reaction but, of course, Coco won his heart and they are completely bonded again. I still don't understand how this little puggy can understand situations so well; at first he didn't try to get close to his daddy and now he doesn't jump to the bed as he used to do before... at least doesn't do it that when daddy is home (I am a completely different story). And he doesn't lick things as he used to, and that is good because the doctor told hubby that it could be the saliva, not the hair.

We are now trying to eat healthier. Hubby is taking prednisone for the inflamation, as Coco is for the addison's disease. So they are now competing for the hungriest and quickest eater at home. This is a sample of what we eat:

I am trying to add more vegetables to the diet, to make it balanced. Hubby can't go back to work and is bored at home so he is cooking now, most of the time. It is funny because it looks as if I was the sick one :P.
Hubby was also using lots of kleenex. Coco is always sniffing hubbys bedside table for fun stuff, like paper. Apparently, he knew that there was an unlimited source of paper (a/k/a box of kleenex) because this time, he jumped and walked all over the table looking after his prize. I had time to put it away before he got his paws on it.

" Can you give me the box of paper and get me down, please?"

"Are you deaf?"
On Saturday, we participated on the Memory Walk of Miami. My boss's sister in law has Alzeihmers and I registered on her team. We were the biggest team in Miami, almost 400 people and collected about $11000. It was a very touching event!
"Are we ready?"
Coco walked with me. There were about 7 dogs walking, but not in my team but in the whole event. Coco was the only pug, and he did well but I asked for a ride midway because it was getting a little hot. I tried to carry him in my arms but he doesn't like it. He prefers to walk. Silly pug!
"Don't forget the water!"
This is Maximus, my boss's yorkie, with our team's tag:

"Three miles? that's nothing for me, I am an athletic pug."
"THAT doesn't exist. Oh wait, Charlie is athletic!"

On Sunday I started making my first journal, from my class with Sue. I thought I was going to get some help.

But I guess he was only being curious.

"Nah!"

I am trying to get my first journal finished to post the pictures. I am sorry I am not reading and commenting on our buddies blogs, but my phone is kind of broken. I had been changing my layout trying to get one that shows my blog's list first, so I can read it without problems. Still working on that! Or should I get a new phone? Or maybe internet at home? It is about time!

We are glad things are going better. We loved the pictures of Coco on the night stand. Mom says it reminds her of me on the kitchen table. I can't get down from there either.
Good for you for doing the walk. What a great job you did.

We sure are glad that hubby is home!
About the avocado - Mom and Grandma Andrea found it at the Publics (we don't have publics out here, just Safeway) that is next to the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport. Mom says that it was literally the size of a pineapple!!!
Whoa!

Hi Sandra,
I am so glad to hear everyone is feeling a bit better. That is a wonderful thing you and your co-workers did, alzheimers is a terrible disease.

Coco is such a cutie! Give him a big kiss from me.
Hugs,
Puglette
