The Keys

Hello Friends!
I want to tell you about something that happened on Memorial Day. Mom had dropped the car to the dealer a couple of days before because it couldn't be aligned and nobody knew why - they are still trying to figure it out - anyway, we only have daddy's pick up truck now. Daddy doesn't like me going in his car too much because I shed a lot and he is very allergic. Mom's car looks like a huge motorized pug because I always go there. Well, I was very surprised when daddy got his car keys and mom put me in the truck.





Where are we going? Where?

Are we there yet?

*Sniff, sniff*

Mhmm... I kind of know this place...

It's the Florida Keys!!

The beautiful place where people have gorgeous houses by the ocean...

... as well as the fishies do!

We went to a beach that is a little down US1. Wait, this street stops here!

Oh, here it is!

The boys - that's daddy and I - were in charge of the umbrella while mom just did nothing.

After working with dad and the umbrella, I went to explore the area and then relax.

Daddy likes to watch fishies. I like to eat them.

This beach is great for me. Few little waves and shallow. I was scared at first but then I entered as I pleased and swam around mom, who was laying on her belly with the water barely covering her back.

After a lot of swimming I was hungry. Where is the menu?

I would like to have everything on this page, please. Yum!

Daddy tried to get everything on the menu, too, by trying to copy my cute-begging-face. No luck for him.

So he had to carefully choose what he really wanted. Only one dish.

If you are wondering where this place is, it is right in the middle of the highway between Miami and Key West, on mile 80. It is called Midway Cafe. It is totally pet friendly including inside the restaurant.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Mom looks pregnant but she is not. All is food and candy. I look pregnant, too but it can't be possible. I am a boy.

PS: The Puggy Luau was our last pug meetup, about 3 weeks ago. I belong in two pug meetup groups, one in our county and the other one on the adjacent county, north of ours. Our county's meetups are always one the same place, once a month. The other meetup is in a different place each time. One of the organizers celebrates the luau every year at her house but this was the first time I attended. A couple of years ago I was planning to go but I had to be hospitalized the previous day due to the addison's disease. I was sad but now I am happy because that's the last time I have had to be hospitalized. Last year I couldn't attend because mom, dad and the kids were in Canada visiting aunty and her family. Friends, suggest this event to your local pug meetup organizers! It is so much fun!!!
