Lessons In Pug-ometry

Good morning students,
Today we will learn important facts about the most adorable creatures living on earth: Us.

Pugs originated in China.

Then spread all over the world.

There are many colors of pugs. I am fawn, Rosie is apricot and Roxy is black, just to name a few examples. Do you know of any silver pugs? I don't.

We have a flat face and because of that we have to live in the comfort of a big tiled home with air conditioning and a fridge full of cold goodies.

We have face wrinkles that serve not only the purpose of having our humans clean them out every day but also gives us our special cute look.

And if somebody have a doubt about our intelligence, they should know that our wrinkles have important meanings in chinese. Therefore pugs are bilingual, or even trilingual - in fact, I am.

Pugs have pink long tongues that are useful when we need to make our begging face.

Pugs have curly tails. The curlier the better. Humans laugh at the sight of us and the tail provokes them an immediate impulse to give butt scratches and massages to us.

Some pugs have bulging eyes. Some doesn't have bulging eyes. Some doesn't have eyes. No problem, as long as we can make a puppy face using other methods (i.e. tongue, wrinkles), we survive.

Pugs need little grooming - unless your human is extremely allergic and needs to spend a lot of money trying to find an inexisting method to get rid of all the fur we shed - and we need a bath every 6 months, or once a year better.

I'd rather skip the health chapter. We are cute, intelligent and funny. That's all that matters.

Now students, are there any questions?

Hi Coco!
That was a great and very informative post! We especially liked the part about the butt scratches. Speaking of which, we need to wag our tails to entice Mommy to scratch our butts now!
Pug hugs and kisses!
