Happy!

Hello buddies,
Happy Independence Day! I hope you all are enjoying a nice day with your families and that the fireworks are not disturbing the peace at your homes with a scared doggy. I particularly am not scared of fireworks, I just bark at them.
*cough, cough* just kidding! I have not coughed for the past 24 hours and mom is super happy because of that. But since my vet said I should rest at home for at least two weeks... there we are, totally bored.
So as you can guess, the above pictures are not from today. They are from last weekend, when mom went to a family get together about 1.5 hours away. Daddy couldn't go so far due to his job so I stayed home with him and the kids.
In the picture you can see mom's cousin with his son, which is mom's nephew and her same age. They live close to us but mom didn't see them for a long time - life gets complicated sometimes. The girl is mom's niece, her mom is also mom's cousin; she lives in Spain and is visiting for a couple of weeks with her husband, daughter and a brand new baby. Isn't he a cutie? Those two doggies were at the house, mom's niece's brother in law is their owner. That sounded too complicated.
Mom treasures those opportunities she get to see her family because those opportunities rarely happen. She knows it is part of having moved to this country, leaving her family behind, and she has gotten kind of used to it. Mom appreciates all the opportunities she has had to improve her life and she is very thankful with this country and their people. Family will come later, when she finally decides to bring a baby of her own. I am sure it will be a lot of fun for me!
Hasta la vista amigos!

Hi Coco - I'm so glad to hear that you haven't coughed in 24 hours. You are definitely on the road to recovery - maybe all the beef soup helped.

Coco, the photos are nice. I know mom doesn't get to see her family as often as she likes, but she makes the most of it when she does. Glad to hear you are feeling better and haven't coughed in 24 hours.

Oh Coco, I'm so glad that you've stopped coughing. George is still at it, but - I do think that he's getting better!

Your mom has a lovely family!

That looks like a fun time. It must be hard for your mom to be away from her family. I don't know what mom would do without hers close by.

Coco, we're so glad to hear yu are feeling better!! We hope you continue on your road to recovery. It's nice that mommy got to spend time with her family. THey are very important and it makes it hard when you can't see them as often as you like. So we cherish the times we have and they sustain us until the next time.

Happy Monday!!

I love those pictures! I know your Momma misses her family, but we sure love having her here in the U.S. with all of us!

that is a great family photo. I know what your mom means about family - I am lost without mine, and whenever I think about Jeremy and I moving somewhere less expensive or more interesting, etc - I just think about how much I would miss my family and that's the end of that!
