This is the last episode of mom's beach day last Sunday. If you are wondering why I keep writing about that day, it simply is because my life has become a boring rutine of go-pee-and-poop-outside and then I come right back to the house. And don't even think this is to protect me from possible infections I may get outside. No. It is because mom and dad can't resist the mosquitoes. So selfish! Since I can't handle this anymore, I am planning to runaway during the weekend with a special secret friend to a special secret place.
So back to mom's day at the Keys, look what she found on the road! Stubby's mom wrote about this place a while ago. Mom was so excited to see it, dad had to make a U-turn for mom to take the pictures.
Across the street they found this tiny place, that may be a house (according to dad) or may be a bar (according to mom).
There was so much traffic mom and dad had to make an emergency stop to fulfill daddy's stomach. Daddy said, we will stop in the first place we see to our right. And the winner was...
GREEN TURTLE INN!
The waiter explained the history of the place to mom and dad. Since it was Sunday, mom was on "spanish mode" so she barely understood any. All she can recall is that this was the only lodging in the area while the train was under construction by Mr. Flagler, so all the workers would stay here. Remember the railroad? That was the only way to go to Key West by land for quite some time. When the city developed this was still a motel and a bar. It closed a few years ago and reopened later as a fancy restaurant, keeping the same name.
Mom and dad sat in a small area without windows. Mom asked dad to buy her a house with a room like this (YEAH, RIGHT!).
The place was a little pricey but totally worth it. Mom and dad are smart so they ordered the cheapest dishes (and no fish for mom) and a dessert. SO GOOD!!!
They were told this is the best breakfast restaurant around, so they are planning to go back soon. Obviously, she will have to call before to ask if I can go along.

Your mom and dad's adventures really make our Mommy want to go down there to visit! That place looked really fun! Except that there was no Coco there ;-)

Coco, mommy says we need to organize a road trip to come visit you!!! She says she hasn't been to Florida in so long!! She wishes she could go back!!

Maybe I will have to get inside one of my bubbles and come visit you, since you are so bored. I could teach you to play the harmornia when I come. We can listen to music and eat banana icecream smothered with carrots, How does that sound?

Hi Coco! Since you are bored I am sending some of my turtle stuffies to keep you company. They will cheer you up.
Mom says the Turtle Hospital looks a lot different than when she visited 6 years ago. Those guys do great work down there and have saved so many turtles. Mom thinks it may be time to make another trip down there. I told her that if she goes I have to come with so that I can visit you!

I've always wanted to go down to the Keys, such a long drive. So thanks to you I can see what it's all about from home. That really long bridge is kinda scary too. Very interesting place to visit!
